Meet The Counselor

Mrs. Angela Withers
 
I am excited to be your counselor at Hook Elementary this year! This is my 12th year as an elementary counselor, but I have lived/taught in Stephenville for the past 23 years.  I live with my husband, Jason, have two daughters, a son, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and a dog named Romeo. In all, I have been in education 27 years from high school and jr. high special education, 1st grade, 3rd grade, life skills, to 4th grade Language Arts.  My passion is reading, going to the beach, watching my daughter play volleyball at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, and spending time with my grandson.
 
We have two counselors at Hook where I serve  as a testing coordinator and support counselor. I  assist in core value guidance lessons each six weeks, provide classroom, student and teacher support, facilitate district assessments, serve as the 504 coordinator, monitor At-Risk students, and serve as an LPAC committee member.  I am looking forward to working together as educators and parents in promoting a collaborative school/home environment for our students.
