Opt-In for Direct Text Messages from Stephenville ISD

SISD is taking steps to increase the standardization of our communication. Partnering with School Messenger, we are now able to communicate directly with our parents, guardians, students and community through a variety of platforms. We understand that one of the most direct and immediate forms of communication is through text messaging. However, we need your permission to make this service available on your device.

To opt-in for Direct Text Messages, text "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.

This new coordinated approach will allow the District and Campuses to send up to the minute, real time information via text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, recording and email.

November Newsletter

Hello Hook Families,

Congratulations! You survived the crazy month of October. The next two months will have some fun activities, but it should not be as crazy as October.

The month of November will be our month to have a "Attitude of Gratitude." That being said, I want to thank each of you that sent donations or volunteered your time to make our first Chili Cook Off a success. The kids did an amazing job creating the Storybook Pumpkins, and the teachers rocked it with their chili recipes. We are already making plans for next year to make this event even better.

Some upcoming dates I want to share with you include:

Nov. 6th - College T-shirt Day
Nov. 8th - Fitness Gram (Kids need to wear their tennis shoes.)
Nov. 9th - Report Cards/Picture Retakes
Nov. 10th - 2nd Six Weeks Awards Assemblies (8:15 - Third Grade/2:15 - Fourth Grade)
Nov. 16th - 3rd Grade Music Program (Details coming soon)
Nov. 17th - 4th Grade Author's Tea - Early Release (1:15 - Third/1:20 Fourth)
Nov. 18th - Hook Garage Sale (Hambone's Redneck Paradise/more details coming soon)
Nov. 20th-24th - Thanksgiving Break - No School
Be sure to "like" our Hook Elementary Facebook page and/or follow us on Twitter @svilleHook to view pictures and videos of the amazing things our students are doing at school.

As always, thank you for supporting our students and our school!

Respectfully,

Daresa Rhine, Principal --
